Mixed use building

The project area is located on the border between the historic city of Marche-en-Famenne and its natural expansion of suburban terrain. It is a tension point in the balance between the old mineral city and the new City Boulevard, it shows the progress and development and makes the city live.
The idea is to work on this border, to transform this ambivalent line into a space of architectural balance.
It is a project on the edge, able to join the two parts of the city by moving and changing their fronts, alignments and skyline, until it generates a new hybrid typology that contains the echo of all typologies that form the urban fabric of the city.
It is a careful effort focused on the urban morphology and on the character that embodies the essence of the place with the aim to understand and change the urban codes through the architectural project.
